SOFTEL Communications GmbH has joined the Customer Service & Call Center Verband Deutschland e. V. (CCV), Germany’s leading industry association for customer service and contact center professionals.
For SOFTEL, the membership represents more than joining a professional network. It is another step in establishing ourselves as an active part of the German customer service and technology ecosystem.
Entering a market means becoming part of it
SOFTEL has worked with enterprises around the world for more than 30 years, helping organizations design, implement, and operate complex customer experience and communications environments.
Germany is an important part of the next chapter of that journey.
Over the past year, we have continued to build our German presence through our local entity, German customer engagements, partnerships, and an increasing focus on the specific operational and regulatory requirements of the market.
But establishing a presence in a new market is not simply a question of opening a local company or signing the first customers.
Particularly in Germany, long term market integration requires understanding how the industry operates locally, participating in its professional discussions and building relationships with the organizations and people shaping its development. Our membership in CCV is part of that commitment.
Why Customer Service & Call Center Verband (CCV)?
The Customer Service & Call Center Verband Deutschland brings together more than 300 companies from across the German customer service ecosystem.
Its membership spans contact centers, technology providers, financial institutions, industrial companies, service providers, and consultancies. This makes CCV an important forum for discussions around the development of customer service in Germany.
Many of those discussions are closely connected to the questions SOFTEL works on every day.
- How will AI change customer interactions and contact center operations?
- How can organizations modernize legacy customer service environments without compromising reliability?
- What does responsible automation look like in practice?
- How should companies approach cloud transformation in highly regulated environments?
- And how do we ensure that technological progress ultimately translates into better experiences for customers and employees?
From our perspective, these questions sit at the intersection of technology, operations, people, and regulation. That is also where we see SOFTEL’s role.
Bringing an international perspective to the German market
SOFTEL was founded in 1995 and has spent three decades working on enterprise communications and customer experience environments across different industries and markets.
Our work has taken us into highly complex environments, including financial services and other regulated industries, where technology must meet demanding requirements for availability, security, governance, and operational resilience.
This experience gives us a perspective that we believe can contribute to the German customer service community.
At the same time, market integration is not a one-way process.
Germany has its own expectations around customer service, data protection, outsourcing, operational resilience, employee participation and technology governance. German enterprises also tend to approach major technology transformations with a strong emphasis on reliability, documentation and long-term operational viability.
Understanding these expectations is essential for any international technology company that wants to establish a sustainable presence in the market. We work with various local experts to ensure a comprehensive understanding of what this market requires.
Our aim is therefore not simply to bring international experience into Germany. It is also to learn from the German market and incorporate that knowledge into how we operate locally.
Customer service is changing quickly
The timing of our CCV membership is particularly relevant because customer service itself is going through a significant transformation.
Cloud platforms have already changed how contact centers are designed and operated. AI is now accelerating that development.
Generative AI, agent assistance, automated quality management, conversational AI, and increasingly autonomous systems are moving from experimentation into operational environments.
This creates significant opportunities. It also introduces new questions.
Organizations need to decide where automation genuinely improves customer service and where human judgment remains essential. They need to determine how AI systems should be governed, monitored and integrated into existing operations. They also need employees who understand both the possibilities and the limitations of these technologies.
For companies operating in regulated sectors, these questions become even more important. Innovation needs to coexist with requirements around security, resilience, data protection, outsourcing governance and accountability.
We believe these discussions benefit from bringing together technology providers, operators, customers and industry organizations rather than addressing them in isolation.
This is one of the reasons why participating in an organization such as CCV matters to us.
From market presence to market participation
SOFTEL’s German journey is still developing.
Our objective is not simply to sell technology into Germany from outside the market. We are building the structures, knowledge, and relationships required to operate here for the long term.
That includes strengthening our German organization, working closely with local customers and partners, adapting our services to German requirements, and participating in the professional communities surrounding our industry.
Joining CCV is a natural part of this development.
We look forward to exchanging perspectives with other members, participating in industry discussions, and contributing our own experience from customer experience technology, cloud transformation, AI and regulated enterprise environments.
Most importantly, we look forward to becoming an increasingly active member of the German customer service community.
We would like to thank the CCV team for welcoming SOFTEL and look forward to the conversations and collaborations ahead.
